The whole point of the DVI to VGA converter is to make the card usable on older monitors. As long as the monitor supports VGA, it supports the DVI to VGA converter. Do you have another display to use? Does your display support anything other than VGA?

first time to hear that the bios should be updated for a new GPu, i know that might happens only with CPUS, also i have omega driver installed because i used to have

amd gpu , and my problem here is NO DATA the screen stays black, i tried DVi-I and DVI-D both of THEM doesn't work and tried the DVI-D on the board slot not the gpu and it doesnt work either.. so its the convertor problem? and i also tried the DVI-I on another gpu and its the same results ! it might be the monitor doesnt accept any convertor? that might happen? or what the hell is going on ?!!!! PLEEEEEEEEEEEEASE HELPPPP 2days until now and i feel like i just lost my money !

Specs:

CPU: FX-6300

GPU: r9 285 dual-x

MOBO: s2p-78lmt rev.5

ram : 4gb ram

psu: thermaltake smart se 730w

HDD : WD 500GB

Monitor : LCD ACER 19inch 1366x768 only VGA also tried on lenovo 1280x1024 LCD VGA/DVI-D

Did you update the BIOS, or did I read your incoherent ramblings correctly that you did not?

If you aren't going to take our suggestions you can just mark the topic as solved now because we aren't going to help you if you wont cooperate.

Stop double posting. We have jobs, we don't get paid to help on the forum we do it out of the goodness of our hearts and free time.

Stop being impatient for something you're getting for free, just calm down and we will get to your problems. We have lives too you know.

EDIT: Got to page two. You're breaking the CoC now. Fucking. Chill. WE WILL GET TO YOUR PROBLEMS AFTER OURS.  I'm sitting at work taking my break to write this, and i'm sure i'm not the only one.

How about instead of fighting us on this, just install the drivers? God damn. Sure, in a perfect world drivers wont matter at that point, but JUST DO IT. For the sake of troubleshooting.

yea seriously we really dont mind helping you on here but when you get pissed off at us because WE cant fix YOUR problem, it makes us not even want to try.

anywho listen unplug everything take out your ram take out your gpu unplug your psu. replug in everything. if that doesnt fix it make sure you have the correct drivers installed. just because a driver is installed doesnt mean its the right one. and last but not least. if you have another computer laying around maybe try putting the graphics card into that other computer and see what it does even if its an old piece of shit if your graphics card works maybe its the pci slot on the mobo.

You were clearly arguing with us; Mark the topic as solved.
