driver has stopped responding

so i got this error while playing total war attila, the screen went black and i could still hear my music in the background, i then tried to minimize the game til the driver responded again. 
it then gave me an error in the tray saying that the driver had stopped responding.

happend once with the driver before that.

specs: i7 4790k 
gtx 970 strix
8gb ram
v650s gold psu
msi z97m gaming motherboard.

 

 

testet with aida 64 for about 30mins and then 4 furmark tests were 2 of them crashed saying something bout opengl

Are you overclocking that 970 ?

Then use a different driver.

Don't use furmark it bricks the cards, use valley or 3D mark.

ok just tried 3d mark and heaven no driver crash there
