Wireless 360

dlf

Bought http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000B6MLUA/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 then later bought: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000HZFCT2/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. Drivers are already installed, anything else I need (other programs) to be able to use it to play (steam library) games?

The button in the middle will glow (and the lights will rotate) . . .   I don't have a Xbox 360 (system) BTW

you need to Sync the Xbox pad to the receiver, there's a button on the top of the Xbox pad, near the left bumper button.  Press it and the receiver and it should sync, when done it will show the top left light of the big green X.

Presume you installed the drivers from the disc then check for updates, if you are using Windows 8 you don't need to install the drivers as its part of the OS, older OS you will need the drivers installed.

Some games on Steam do let you use the xbox controller but some are partial controls and others are full controls, you need to check each game.

If your going to be using the pad a lot, get a rechargeable battery pack, something like this can be useful for you.

just done this a couple days ago.

video is quiet as fck but w/e

important part is at 3:11 properly sync'd the round light will light up into a single quadrant.

you can also pirate Xpadder or buy it for $10. xpadder allows you to remap the xbox buttons to anything you want so you can play stuff that isn't controller supported.

Just sync as above and you're good to go!

Most games released within the last few years will natively support the controller, so you should have almost no issues.

Intel Core i7-7700K | EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 FTW | ASUS ROG Strix Z270G Gaming | 32GB G-Skill TridentZ RGB DDR4-3200 | Corsair AX860i

Cooler Master MasterCase Pro 3 Samsung 950 Pro 256GB | Samsung 850 Evo 1TB | EKWB Custom Loop | Noctua NF-F12(x4)/NF-A14 LTT Special Edition

Dell S2716DGR | Corsair K95 RGB Platinum (Cherry MX Brown) | Logitech G502 Proteus Spectrum | FiiO E17 DAC/Amp | Beyerdynamic DT990 Pro

If your game doesn't support controllers, you could try out Xpadder. You can easily configure your controller to emulate your keyboard and mouse. I use it to mess around with older games and MMO's.

You can either pay for it from the website, or download the freeware version the developer released. I personally use the freeware version and it works flawlessly.
