RAM help

Go to solution Solved by VolkA,

I have DDR3 1333MHz new but i can get DDR3 1600MHz?

yes you can. However take note that they will all run at the same speed and will be at the lowest, meaning all RAM will run @ 1333MHz. So no point getting 1600MHz as it will only run @ 1333MHz unless its cheaper then fine.

Can I put different companies RAM in my computer?

yes, as long as it is the same standard: DDR2, DDR3, DDR4

you can even mix RAM with different speeds.

@Rocko follow your topic.

We can't Benchmark like we used to, but we have our ways. One trick is to shove more GPUs in your computer. Like the time I needed to NV-Link, because I needed a higher HeavenBench score, so I did an SLI, which is what they called NV-Link back in the day. So, I decided to put two GPUs in my computer, which was the style at the time. Now, to add another GPU to your computer, costs a new PSU. Now in those days PSUs said OCZ on them, "Gimme 750W OCZs for an SLI" you'd say. Now where were we? Oh yeah, the important thing was that I had two GPUs in my rig, which was the style at the time! They didn't have RGB PSUs at the time, because of the war. The only thing you could get was those big green ones.

you might as well get new 1333MHz ram because it will be under-clocked to the lowest speed.

An AMD cpu has no place in a solely gaming build, end of.

I3 4150, Intel HD graphics, corsair CX750M, 4gb ram, Asus H81M-E, corsair 230T, Intel stock cooler WD Green 2TB Gigabyte 550TI
