It's a hassle man. It's still in the RMA process >.< I can't join my LTT peeps in playing GTAV!! :<

Yes, ITX builds are great man. But if you really want to SLI option, the Prodigy comes in an mATX version (same dimensions just a completely different internal setup). So you get the same size but with SLI. Temperatures of my main rig are shown here, scroll down to the last parts. :D

At least we now know what that CPU's needs. The next step probably would be to back off and put it at a comfy setting until your cooler of choice arrives. If you're willing to part with that 212 evo, I MIGHT buy it off of you! But I understand if you want a back up heatsink.

Prime 95 works! 94 celsius is damn hot though. Be careful! xD I've never seen a 1.4v OC on a 212 before lol.

Aw. How long is your PC out of commission?

Damn I really like your build!  :o I like small builds but I always crave for more power (even though I don't even need it...)

Your CPU stays really cool... i'm jealous

It ran for 2 hours and then BSOD... The code it gave said I needed more voltage. I now just wondering if its worth OC'ing to that big of an extreme in the long run...  I might part with the 212 evo, but I was originally thinking of keeping it as a back up cooler. I'll let you know though if I am going to sell it!

Yeah certain prime95 loads really pushed that 212. Gotta live life on the edge ya know B)

I'd say for about 2 more weeks. But my pc isn't REALLY out of commision, I have my back up CPU on it right now. She's still kicking (not as hard though).

Thanks! My main rig's my pride and joy :D You saw my cooling system lol. I have a 230mm fan as my main air intake. Well small rigs can also be powerful! You got a build log or pics of yours?

Well, yeah I think going 4.7 all the time with that voltage is a tad extreme. But test it out when you get that nicer cooler! Voltage isn't an issue so long as your CPU is kept cool enough.

:P Live life on the edge. Niiice.

Oh yeah, I forgot you had a back up CPU. Just wondering, are you still able to game with that CPU?

Sadly I don't have a build log of mine. I built it back in 2012 and I didn't think of taking pictures of it  :( I'll see if I can get some pictures of it when I have time and I'll upload them here  :)

I don't know which cooler to get... They all have their ups and downs

-snip-

It's a G1820. I've tried "gaming" on it but the Celeron based chip is have trouble even with Bioshock Infinite. So I am able to play but not comfortably.

Go take photos then! If you're planning on upgrading it, maybe you can make a before and after post someone on the forums! Also, cooler choice is intense. Choose wisely cuz' you'll be staring at that for a long time.

Aw that sucks. A G3258 woulda been better probably. Sometimes i wish I had a g3258 to screw around with  :P

I'll try taking some pics of it this week. I haven't gotten any good photos of it. It doesn't exactly have a good cable management right now either. Truthfully I'm pretty set and don't have much more to upgrade but I still get the itch  The next upgrade is probably the cooler but ahhhhhhh the decisions!

BTW i've taken a break from OC'ing due to the lack of cooling and midterms coming up... argh. Hopefully i'm not spamming the CPU forum with this thread

Yeaah, I wish I had gotten the G3258--but sadly the shady dude only had a G1820 for sale >.<

But yes, take photos! Share your masterpiece. Well when you do upgrade go ahead and fix up everything in the case. So yeah, when you get back to OC'ing again you know where to find us. :DAlso spam is good. I like to have it for breakfast.

Ah I see. Well at least its better than no CPU

Hm.. where should I post the pictures?

Ahhh the D14 is on sale for 69.99. Is there enough of a difference to get the D15 or Ultimate R1 or Dark Rock Pro 3?

And now I want spam musubi...

Maybe post at the Build Logs sub-forum. :) So for DH14 and 15, I think for that price the 14 is a better deal. In terms of performance, they seem to be all comparable. I would research more but midterms :(

Ok. I'll post them there when I get the time.  :)

Yeah I'm busy with midterms as well. I think I'll hold off on the cooler for now... BTW, good luck!
