I'm building a PC for the first time and I am close to being finished but I need a little help. I am looking for suggestions (value and performance wise). I also want to know if all the parts are compatible. It would also be appreciated if anyone knows where I can get anything for a cheaper price. The PC is primarily for gaming and I want it to last for quite a while. I am willing to spend a little more on RAM and the Graphics Card if someone gives me a good reason.

CASE: CM Storm Scout II Advanced                        goo.gl/jHZxtA

MOTHERBOARD: MSI Z97 Gaming 7                       goo.gl/sSB0eg

GRAPHICS CARD: EVGA GTX 750 Ti                       goo.gl/NlSt9k

RAM: 2x4GB HyperX                                                 goo.gl/4cN6g3

PSU: Corsair HX750i                                                 goo.gl/rdqBJf

Thanks in advance!

8GB is all you need for gaming

You can lower your PSU to 6002 to save money a little bit

Your Graphics card can be higher depending on budget

Thanks in advance!

Here at LTT we prefer to use PCPartPicker, it tells you if anything is incompatible, are you on a budget or is this just a rough build because if you can get pair that 4690k with a GTX 970 you're PC would be incredible

Been playing on a laptop for 6 years, I play Dota 2 with 10fps. Some might say this is impossible, I say its just annoying

What's your budget? If you're getting K series CPU I'd recommend an aftermarket cooler like Hyper 212 EVO, you should lower the PSU like 500-600W. RAM is enough for gaming, I think you could get better GPU (that's why I asked for budget). Try to use PCPartPicker to choose your parts.

That is very unbalanced. You are spending money in the wrong areas i.e Psu, Motherboard and maybe case. If you spend less on those items then you can get a much better graphics card.

What is your budget ? And do you just need the parts you listed ?

I am in britain so my budget is about £1000 ($1500) I will look into downgrading the mobo and psu for a better graphics card. Thanks you very much everyone. Another question is about aftermarket cooling. The case comes with 2 fans + the stock fan for the CPU do I need more (the case has loads of space for more fans). If so what fans would be recommended. I would like to keep it as silent as possible. Also any suggestions for a case that can house all my parts at a cheaper price are welcome.

Budget is around $1500 and apart from the parts listed I am missing extra fans which I have been told I need and a better keyboard (currently working with a cheap one from pc world).

After some looking around I have decided that the PSU will stay the same as a lower option (650w) only has a £20($30) difference and I may as well have options open for the future.

The case I am still looking around a bit. As a fan how does a H80i sound, is it overkill?

The GTX970 is over £100($150) more expensive so I need to save more before I can afford it.

The motherboard has been downgraded from a gaming 7 to a gaming 5 saving around £30($45).

How does that sound and where can I save more money to get that graphics card.

I would suggest something like this.

SLI ready, and some money left over for a decent Keyboard.

The Phanteks case has a 200mm Front fan and a 140mm Rear fan pre-installed so you should be fine with those.

The XFX is a solid psu made by Seasonic. I own the same one.

CPU: Intel Core i5-4690K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor  (£155.94 @ Aria PC)
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z97X-Gaming 5 ATX LGA1150 Motherboard  (£104.99 @ Novatech)
Storage: Crucial BX100 250GB 2.5" Solid State Drive  (£72.95 @ Scan.co.uk)
Video Card: MSI GeForce GTX 970 4GB Twin Frozr V Video Card  (£274.98 @ Amazon UK)
Case: Phanteks Enthoo Pro ATX Full Tower Case  (£85.93 @ Scan.co.uk)
Power Supply: XFX 750W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply  (£66.32 @ Amazon UK)
Total: £896.63

Thank you so much, you've been very helpful. This will be my completed build more a less. I went on PCPartPicker myself and made a very similar cheaper build but with some questionable brand names.

Thanks again everyone, if anyone has some last minute suggestions I will still take them into account as I am busy with things for a while until the end of June which is when I will begin the build.
