So, I've been a lurker on this forums for around a week. I've started ordering parts for my first PC (that I've built). The build should be capable of running games like CS GO, TF2. I also want to be able to multitask. Maybe have Chrome running, a Word Doc open, and CS GO. Here is the build so far:

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/cXgwXL

I've already ordered the Case, a Rosewill Blackhawk Gaming Mid ATX Blue, and the Video Card, a XFX R9 280.

Please keep budget in mine (Max of 1000), and NO AMD FANS (INTEL FOR THE WIN)! I want to reduce the cost.

Hmmm... I feel kinda bad that you have already order case and GPU, else you could get something alot better like this:

Just subtract Case and GPU from this build then. Also if you want matching color scheme then you may want a MSI Z97 G55 SLI and different Ram so you can have a full Blue theme build.

Basically this. You made a dumb move on ordering such a GPU on the 1000$ price range.

You will be basically regretting it for a LONG time.

Heres edited build.

Is my GPU really that bad? I think I got it for a pretty good deal...

Its not that its bad, it just fits into a low budget build alot better than yours. you have money to get a way better price per performance GPU

I would Suggest GPUBOSS if your curious how it stacks up against anything else on the market
