Honestly.. this is the card i'm getting. It seems to be one of the stronger 970's but nobody or nothing supports/uses it. It's honestly baffled me how this card has been overlooked.

Sadly, no... EKWB did one, but for the older model... I was sad, because I have the newer SSC version, which also does not have a block :( no WC for me either

EKWB needs to do one so that you can do a full custom loop so I can have ur X61 :D

Nobody tends to make waterblocks for EVGA FTW cards. The waterblock makers make them for the cards with reference layouts and the Classified cards. Those of us with FTW's get the shaft. My 780 FTW is begging for a waterblock. I know I can push it farther if I put it underwater.

I mean with the ACX 2.0 my temp is awesome, i never seen it go over 80 C underload. I just want it for aesthetics.

Haswell i5 4670k OC (4.0 GHz 1.2v)  // GTX 970 FTW plus // MSI Z87 G45 // 8 GB G.SKILL RAM // ASUS 24 in 144 Hertz // Kingston SSD 240 GB

  • 9 months later...

Great News Alphacool does make a full cover water-block (with back-plate) for the EVGA GTX 970 FTW+.

Alphacool NexXxoS GPX - Nvidia Geforce GTX 970 M10 - incl. backplate - black

Product #: 11244

Not so great news, the Alphacool NexXxoS GPX may look like its a "full cover" waterblock, but full cover water block it is not. It only cools the die itself, it does not water cool any other part of the card, the rest of it is passive cooled, which does not give you the same temps as a real full cover waterblock. Also, just a personal opinion, the block is very bulky compared to other blocks and it is ugly, so trying to make a build very nice and sleek looking with this, is going to be more of a challenge then its worth.

Also, holy crap, this thread is old.
