What do you call the part that third party steering wheels attach to? A friend wants to build up his S10 a bit, including a new steering wheel, but can't attach the wheel he wants currently (His truck if it helps is a 94 S10 LS)

Are you talking about the steering column? You should be able to attach any after-market steering wheel as long as it has the correct size center hole to bolt to the steering column.

We're thinking what we need is a steering wheel adapter, but not positive

i call it the steering hub.
