So a couple of days ago groupon accidently gave me a "phillips light strip flex" and said I could keep it qB^)  I was thinking of putting it in my case to show it off but I was wondering if i could plug it into my motherboard and which socket it would be as it looks like it could fit in most of them.

Here is the actual product http://www.amazon.co.uk/Philips-7097655PU-Watt-LightStrips-Color/dp/B00IMAJIVC/ref=sr_1_sc_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1428845394&sr=8-1-spell&keywords=phillips+flex+striplight

If you could tell me what the socket is called i am sure I can find it through the motherboard manual

This is my motherboard http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Components/Motherboards/AMD+Socket/Socket+AM3%2B+Piledriver+FX/Gigabyte+GA-970A-UD3P+AMD+Socket+AM3%2B+Motherboard+?productId=57967(just incase you are not sure whether it has what I need(if its even possible))

these are some random numbers on the back (not sure if it tells you what kind of a plug it is)

What I can see is that there's no easy way to connect it to PC hardware. Looks more like ambient lighting for behind monitor or under table. You will need some electrical knowledge to fit connectors so that USB or similiar can power it.

So

topic, follow it.

plug into le wall.

We can't Benchmark like we used to, but we have our ways. One trick is to shove more GPUs in your computer. Like the time I needed to NV-Link, because I needed a higher HeavenBench score, so I did an SLI, which is what they called NV-Link back in the day. So, I decided to put two GPUs in my computer, which was the style at the time. Now, to add another GPU to your computer, costs a new PSU. Now in those days PSUs said OCZ on them, "Gimme 750W OCZs for an SLI" you'd say. Now where were we? Oh yeah, the important thing was that I had two GPUs in my rig, which was the style at the time! They didn't have RGB PSUs at the time, because of the war. The only thing you could get was those big green ones.
