I orginally posted this in the New Builds and Planning forums and decided to move it here as this is first build and want to log everything every step of the way.

The focus on my build was the Corsair 760T case in Arctic white. It's the best looking case IMO. When I started planning this build I was wanting the build to be blue, but I find my self loving the way the Krait Edition motherboard looks so that is still up in the air.

My location is the US. I plan to run triple displays (two monitors and a 42" TV) I do alot of multi tasking on my pc, often playing games on one monitor surfing on another while playing media of some type on my TV. I'm one of those tab fiends with anywhere from  10-25 tabs open in each browser window, and 2 or 3 windows open at a time. As far as gaming goes I typically play LoL, I have Skyrim, but playing on my current PC is more frustrating than fun so I haven't touched the game since I installed it. I'm also planning on running emulators on my pc, as well as open source games like Mugen, StepMania, Osu and the like. I want this to be the only PC I will need , if possible, for the next 10 years or so. I've only bought prebuilt PC's before with my current rig being a gateway DX series I bought 3 years ago, it has a Core i3 530, a 350watt psu, 3 Hard drives (1 1TB, 2 500GB) and an EVGA GTX 550Ti, however with that graphics card I had to disconnect one of my hard drives and my optical drive to power the 550. I'm trying to keep the build under $1500 USD, and would like to avoid recycling parts from my gateway outside the HDD as I plan to just give it to my little brother.

All feedback is welcomed

I got some good feedfeed back on the subject and have changed my build plans a bit

***UPDATE****
I have purchased 16GB HyperX Fury Black RAM a Sandisk 120GB SSD and the EVGA 750 G1 80plus Gold psu. Just waiting on my case and I can start putting this build together. Planning to run the stock cooler for about a month or so, hopefully by then I can get my cpu cooler, planning on the Corsair H100i GT, and will be running either a GTX 550Ti or an Radeon HD7770 (brother's spare parts) until I can purchase either a GTX 970 or, depending on my funds, a GTX 980Ti.

Will be posting pictures soon

Final Update (probably)

Put my PC together initially with the stock cooler and a GTX 960 (was for my little brother, but  I wouldn't have the rest of his components until a few months later)

In all honesty, it was because I was building a PC that would be an exact opposite of my brother's build, he is running with an AMD CPU and GPU so I went opposite with Intel and Nvidia sorry it took this long to reply bee really busy the last 6 months
