Remember something. The role of an Antivirus is to alert you about a virus infection before you execute the file containing one.

If you are infected, then the Anti-virus can remove the infection as well, BUT any system file or configuration change are left as is. It cannot repair your system, just remove the virus to not continue to infect your system, and potentially other system on your network.

Once you have a virus infection (that is one that is in your system already because your A/V failed to identify it before you execute it), it is highly recommended to backup your stuff, format your system and re-install the OS.
