Front Mounted Cherry MX LEDs

The Ducky YOTH is on sale on Massdrop, and I really want to get it, but the function operations on the front of the keys really bring down the looks alot.  I have a spare set of keycaps, and want to put them on.  The problem is my keycaps are for rear mounted MX LEDs, while the YOTH LEDs are front mounted.  Does anybody know what putting the keycaps that I already have on the ducky would look like?  Would it not really light up the key, but have more of an underglow affect?
