CS:GO Engine Error

Every time i try and join a game online or offline the game minimizes with 'Engine Error' while hovered over in the task bar. I have no idea what's causing the issue (but Event Viewer is displaying errors about paging on my HDD - that's for another day)

 

It's really starting to annoy me to no end. You can open up and mess with some settings but the minute you get to the leading screen, it dies.

 

CPU is at stock (hardware errors when OC'd) and GPU is at stock. Driver is 344.75 (this driver allowed some GPU OC). I have looked for the solution on Google (well Steam really) but none of the solutions have worked. 

 

I've tried to:

  • Uninstall and re-install
  • Check game cache

And as you can tell none of these have worked. 

CPU: Intel Core i5-3570K 

Cooler: H80i w/ SP120 High Performance Push/Pull 

Mobo: Gigabyte Z77X-UP7

RAM: Samsung Green Memory 1600MHz C9 

GPU: EVGA GTX 980 K|NGP|N  

OS: Windows 8.1 Pro + classic Shell

Drives: 840 EVO 120GB & 250GB & 1TB Seagate ST1000M003

PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA 850 G2
