Hey Guys!

So i was wondering. What happens if i buy a fan controller and plug my CPU fan into the fan controller and leave the CPU fan header on my motherboard empty? Will i be able to control my CPU fan speed? But will my PC be ok with no fan connected to my motherboards CPU FAN header??

Cheers Guys!

All it will mean is the CPU fan is controlled by whatever rules you set instead of adjusting speed according to CPU temps. You could plug any fan onto the CPU fan header if you wanted to if it bothers you that much.

most mobo with bitch saying CPU fan Error and you cannot boot beyond the BIOS

you def need the fan header connected to the CPU FAN

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.

Can i not just plug any fan into the fan header on the mobo? (while my CPU FAN is connected to the fan controller)
