Silverstone AP121/122/123

Hey everyone!
 

I've seen a lot of suggestions about these fans, and I was wondering how good they really are.

 

Are they quiet? The AP122 seems the cheapest. How good is it? And with the AP121, are those fan blades good for just being a case fan? Is the AP123 worth the extra money? They seem great.

 

• Oh, and are the fan grills removable? 

 

I want these to be an exhaust, by the way.

Ap123 is really nice, I would pay a few $ more for it

Would work as a great exaust.

Ap122 is great for 9$, for basic unrestricted air flow.

Not really, but the ap123 semi replaces it.

Nah the 121's from what ive read have slightly higher pressure for rads and stuff. Both are very good though, im rocking 2 ap121s on my h100 and 2 ap141's as intakes

121s are mainly for radiators and restricted airflow areas, the 122s are bog standard case fans with the channeling grille on the back of it, and the 123s are for heatsinks, case fans and are more premium versions of the 122s that are far better noise level wise when up against a grille. Also, the fan grille is not removable, they are part of the fan frame, but you would be foolish to remove it anyway as it is a fundamental part of the fans designs,.

I'll be having 2 140mm intakes and 4 exhaust. The exhaust fans will be running at very low RPM so I still get positive air pressure. I'm mainly doing that to fill the empty fan slots up, since it would really annoy me if they werent. I could just do 2 exhaust and spend more on my two intakes, like 2 NF-A14s.

I would go 2 front intake, one bottom intake, rear exhaust, and rearmost back exhaust.

Any more fans will actually hurt temps

Bottom intake won't work. I'd like to keep the PSU cover on.
