I'm currently overclocking and here is my stable overclock so far.

Core Voltage: 1.170v

Core Clock (MHZ): 1190

Power Limit: 20%

Memory Clock (MHZ): 1410

Temperatures: 65-70 under 100% load

If I raise the Core Clock to even 1200 it isn't stable, so what voltage should I go to make this stable and what is the max safe voltage and temperatures?

I wouldn't go past 1.25v for that card on air. After that you start seeing degradation on air for AMD cards.

Does voltage matter or temperature in terms of lifespan in a GPU? Say I put it at like 1.2v but have good temps?

Voltage is always the factor in life span.

I have this weird problem, I can get upto 1200 Core Clock and be stable and run benchmarks like Valley and Furmark but when I test it in games it just crashes and freezes and unfreezes?

Thats normal I have the same issue with my 280 I can hit 1265 Core Clock and then in games It will crash unless its at 1250 core.

Holy crap.

Yeah the custom BIOS I made for it though really helps the stock held the card back. I can do Open CL work with the core at 1350 and it will be stable but the 3D Loads for it are another story.

What should the max safe temps be under load?

I would say below 80C is safe, my card hits around 78c with 16% fan speed when in games mainly cause I want more silence then anything else.

I wouldn't go over 1.25 for too long...if at all.

1.25 or below, should be fine if you don't live in a desert or really hot environment.

1190Mhz is no slouch, and the voltage changes may not be worth it for another 20-30mhz...

You've hit your first wall....after all this extra clockspeed and voltage, it's up to you if you wanna climb and tackle that wall now...

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

True that, its getting a bit harder. Time to see what my max is.

Recommended is 1.25, not that you have to abide by that :)

I had 1.3v for quite some time on my first HD7950 @ 1199Mhz stable (1200 it would die in a fire)
