Apologize if this is the incorrect section to post on. if so please let me know. .

Anyways, this is what I have atm

MOBO - Asrock n68c-gs fx

CPU - AMD Athlon II X3 450 95W Processor

RAM - 6 GB

GPU - ASUS GTX 750Ti

PSU - LEPA N Series N500-SA 500W ATX12V Power Supply

All I wanted to know from your point of view is what processor I should lean towards since (if I'm correct) the processor is the cheapest thing I have aside from the psu and the most important component which is why I want to upgrade ASAP.

NOTE* Im not the richest person sadly so I'd appreciate BEST BANG for my buck recommendations. Thanks alot! Another thing I should probably let you know is I do Video editing/rendering alot so maybe that will change your suggestions (: Thanks once again

an Intel 4460 and a H81 platform motherboard could get you into the Intel market, and have a preview before going to the much better/more expensive 4690K/z97. But after upgrading to a 4460 I think a graphics card upgrade would be due (alongwith 2gb more ram)

If you have the money 4690K/Z97

If both of those are out of your range  G3258/H81

Current Desktop Build | 2200G | RX 580 4GB | 8GB RAM | CTRL | Logitech G Pro Wireless

i5-4440 and an H81 motherboard will be your best bet for bang-for-the-buck. As for PSU it would depend where you are shopping from

appreciate all your replies. Looks as if I'd be better off going with Intel..as I was thinking about just going with an FX processor from AMD but I'm not sure anymore. 4440 and an H81 seems about $300 correct? And I do all shopping on Amazon
