On my home server when ever i boot into windows after the starting windows logo finishes the screen turns black and won't do anything. It also does this when booting from the windows(win server 2008r2) install disk.

I have tried

-different oses(ubuntu isn't great either)

-different ram

-removing all other hardware

And the system specs

-bios reset

Intel s1200kp board

LSI 9240-4i

Core i3 2100

2gb of ddr3(i have tried many sticks)

sesonic 360w 80+ gold psu

The server worked fine for 2 years then this happened i i have no idea why

My first guess would be the graphics card is failing, as soon at the graphics card driver starts it cuts output.

What form factor is it, can you put a spare GPU in see if your get any further? If you leave it can you ping it maybe RDP on see if it had botted and just isn't outputting to the display?
