Hello!

Now that Gta V is coming to PC soon I was considering overclocking my Gpu. Kinda want to run the game at ultra settings. I've got a Gainward 770 2gb.

Do i need to overclock it to run at ultra or? Want people's opinion!

Here's a result on a FurMark test

Well, nobody really knows for certain that any setup can run the game on ultra or whatever the max settings will be; everyone is just guessing pretty much based off their spec recommendations. If you have a good processor to back up your graphics card you will likely(obviously not guaranteed) be able to run the game perfectly fine on highest settings. From what Rockstar has said about optimization the game sounds like it will run well on even low/medium end hardware at 1080p, and I would consider the 770 to be high end.

Overclocking your graphic's card rarely is the difference between running a game well and running it poorly, so I wouldn't say it's worth doing unless you just want that extra few frames per second.

Overclocking is free performance and usually results in 10% increase in performance and so its worth overclocking anyway.

Its hard to say what is needed to run GTA V at ultra given that it's not out yet....

Got a kinda old Cpu ( I5 2500k ) but i've overclocked it to about 4.2 ghz. i find this cpu very good for gaming new games, considering how old it is.

Afterburner is basically the same as it was before. They changed the skin, but you can easily change it back to the old one. I don't use it as much as i prefer the look of precisionx

The i5-2500k is definitely still a good CPU so you won't have any troubles there, especially with the overclock. The only way you won't run GTA 5 well with your setup is if it's poorly optimized, which the entire PC gaming community is praying is not the case.
