Hey guys, so I am buying new headphones this week and I am kind of confused. I am a CS:GO competitive player so every in-game sound matters to me. My question is do the wireless headsets any kind of latency to the audio? If yes then how much? And if I go the wired route which connector is better 3.5mm or USB?

If you have a good soundcard 3.5mm is the better choice IMHO, most USB headphones have a crappy DAC.

I dont like wireless so I've no idea how much latency they add.

Wireless all the way (In my opinion)! However if you are a CS:GO competitive player then I think you should go with wired because the signal is faster than that of wireless. I prefer wireless because there are no cables that get in the way and you don't have to take your headset off and on again if you want to get a dink or something.

I'm not that educated on this matter but from a basic consumer standpoint wireless is great for Watching movies or videos as you can move freely about the room with no annoying wires to get in the way. Also if you go wired at least have a stand or someplace to hang them, it's a mistake you only make once :P (speaking from experience) As for wired it would be better if you want to use the audio to locate enemy players accurately and they don't require you to keep feeding them batteries, (nothing worse then having your headset die in the middle of a match) if sound matters that much than get something with at least surround sound. I have the turtlebeach earforce p11 which do wonders for me. Just my humble opinion, hope this helped.
