I'm wondering if there's something wrong with this..

7.31 GBs of ram used with just Google Chrome on Idle?

if its using that much ram you must have a couple hundred tabs open , and have a crap load of extensions running ...

the current list of dead cards is as follows 2 evga gtx 980ti acx 2.0 , 1 evga gtx 980 acx 2.0 1600mhz core 2100mhz ram golden chip card ... failed hardcore , 1 290x that caught fire , 1 hd 7950 .

if its using that much ram you must have a couple hundred tabs open , and have a crap load of extensions running ...

I have 14 tabs open and 5 extensions.

Have you recently tried doing a virus scan or a malware scan (using malwarebytes) because you may have something on your pc you may not want.

that seems ridiculously high amount or ram being used lol ... i have 15 tabs open and 3 extensions on and im using 86.5mb ram

I have bitdefender total security and malewherybytes and ran a full scan yesterday with nothing found, may just need more ram I suppose.

Have you tried using Windows Task Manager to see what programs are using a lot of RAM?

unless you mean that's the system total for all processes and what not  .. or is that being used by just chrome

Yeah, and I updated that picture and organized it by usage and it's always dirty Chrome! lol

Maybe Chrome is leaking.

You have 470MB on a tab, are you on youtube loading 4k or something?

 

And for reference I'm at 7.8GB with 30 Tabs, 3 extensions + 3DS Max and Blender.

I have two tabs open on youtube but there at the home screen and not loading anything.

Also without Chrome open it's at approximately 5gb's used.

Have you updated any drivers lately?

Check for a driver update to your LAN. its a common issue to have memory leaks with killer/Realtek.
