I have been building some rigs in my mind for the last couple months. My main objective is to be able to game moderately on it and possible a little video editing for yt. Keep in mind, this is centered around budget but also want the ability to upgrade (if I want to).

My main issue I am having a tough time deciding on is the processor. I have been almost set on the AMD FX 9590 processor as it has 8 cores and runs at 4.7GHz. The only thing that turns me away is the limitation of ram to be 1866 DDR3. Not only does amd not support the faster DDR3, it hasn't started in on DDR4 either.

Motherboard I am planning on getting is the GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD3.

Video Card: GTX 960 (best priced option available will determine the brand name)

RAM: 16GB Crucial Ballistics (1866)

SSD: Samsung 850 EVO (size depending on price)

PSU: Corsair CX 750

So basically I'm asking... Should I stay with the faster AMD for cheaper and limit my ability to upgrade. Or go with an Intel core series to allow
for some ability to upgrade in the future.

I appreciate any feedback. Thanks!

But i wouldn't go with 9590 and gtx 960 (my opinion) you should go with z97 MB that support 5th gen and take i5 4670k and r9 290x

Ram speed doesn't matter 9590 what cooler are you going with?

240gb of ssd and r9 280x

I planned on getting the cooler master 212 EVO. It has great reviews on every cpu I've seen. Tho I haven't seen any that had the 9590. There were a couple reasons that I chose the 960. Its cheaper and there should be a new version of the radeons coming out soon. I don't want to be that guy buying a card and it being outdated in just a month or two.

And how much would the 1.5 GHz and 4 core loss between the amd and intel you suggested, be noticed for my purposes?
