It is your driver, my minecraft wouldn't even start up with 347.88, try this driver:

1. Uninstall the geforce software

2. install the driver, it will reinstall geforce software

3. done

Hi guys.

Recently I bought a laptop (Pretty decent, not a gaming laptop though), however I experience massive FPS drops in games like Minecraft, Euro Truck Simulator 2 and other games. I don't know what might be the cause of it, but if you know what is the problem, please do tell me. Thanks!

Specs:

- i7-4712MQ

- Nvidia Geforce GTX 850M

- 16GB DDR3 Ram

- 120 GB SSD + 1TB HDD

Also, the driver version is 9.18.13.4788 WHQL (ForceWare 347.88) \ Win8.1 x64

It may be thermal throttling if you're not using it on a flat surface, instead using it on, your lap for example.

Just a wild guess. :)

I use it on a cooling pad and on a wood surface table  ;)

It is the latest driver I got from Geforce Experience. But currently I'm trying out the older driver mikat had given  :)

Try plugging the laptop in
