A networking question

Go to solution Solved by W-L,

So just buy a different router, run ethernet from modem to router, connect to router instead?

That is correct just be sure to disable the wifi on the modem/router from comcast to lessen inference and since it's not necessary anymore.

Recently my networking capabilities are not up to par.

Before you ask I am the only of a few devices on my network and I have a great wifi chip.

Im cant change router because of Comcast.

So is there any solution of having the modem/router in a different room than my setup besides running a 30ft ethernet cord?

"This is a bad idea"

just saying if you have comcast u can still use a different router, just connect Ethernet out into another router and disable the wifi on it.
