Installing windows 8.1 OEM again?

So i dont understand allot about building computers etc

But i am going to try build one!

so i was wondering if i can install the same windows 8.1 pro OEM if i upgrade my motherboard.

Is it possibly? do i need to contact microsoft or something? :rolleyes:

Yes you can. You may need to use phone activation though its all automated though, very easy to do.

^^^^ This is the answer, you can reuse any key with phone activation. I've even used a single key on multiple computers with phone activation. Just tell them its only on one computer and they activate any shit, lol.

So i can just put in another motherboard (sell the other one) and then just put in my windows 8 disk? and it will ask for phone verification?

Could you tell me indept how this proces works please!

Swap out to new hardware, Reinstall windows. During the install process put your key in (when its at the desktop check that its activated, if its not then click activate and then phone activation).

Basically it connects you to an automated machine that takes your install ID and generates an activation code for you. Enter that in and BOOM all done
