Let me know what you guys think. Ill post back in a couple hours. Hopefully i don't have to buy another CPU

I just finished my waterloo, and while I was building I went ahead and de-lid my i7 4790k. Everything was working fine before. But now I'm getting debug error 69 on msi z97 gaming 7 Motherboard. Under the manual we are told it stands for late north bridge initialization but no one seems to know what the hell it means or how to solve it. Please, I need some ideas

Oh ok, that error is usually because your Mobo needs a Bios update to run the CPU. See if you can get a computer shop to flash the bios for you or get a cheap CPU that is supported by the Mobo and update the the bios that way.

His bios is fine. The board supports haswell refresh since an very old bios release. http://www.msi.com/support/mb/Z97-GAMING-7.html#support-cpuHe might just killed his cpu with that little experiment.

dude you failed at deliding its super dangerous it seems not but it is even though you (i assume) was careful you damaged your cpu unfortunately. im really sorry. i was watching a video of one guy deliding and direct mounting his cpu he was super careful but one of his ram slots wasnt working. at least he got working cpu out of that.

if you direct mounted your cpu any tiny tiny pressure goes straight to your 22nm cpu witch is super sensitive to pressure. thats why they do not solider heat spreader anymore. also its possible that you used a diamond TIM and it could have damaged your cpu as well

its unfortunate but i think your cpu is broken now im really sorry you cant fix nanotechnology chips.

make sure mark ansver solved if you found it solve your issue

Hope it works for you. That would be a costly experiment otherwise. That would suck!

It's always a good day if you woke up breathing.
