Is a closed loop cooler worth it?

Go to solution Solved by othertomperson,

With fans acting as an intake, an AIO is completely unaffected by the other components in your case. If you are in a high ambient environment this could be quite beneficial over an internal heat-sink.

Hi. I've been wondering for a while if buying a cooler like the Corsair H100/H100i would be worth it in an area like the Caribbean with average ambient temperatures of 30° C year-round. My 8320FX is overclocked from 3.5 to 4.02Ghz on a Hyper 212 Evo with an average temperature of 40°C, high thirties if I turn on the AC. Would I see a significant decrease with a closed loop cooler?
