Hey guys, I currently have a pretty mediocre office/home pc that I bought about a year or so ago. I want to get it up to a decent standard to be able to play some games I have such as sniper elite 2, battlefield 3 and rust. I have £200 ($300 USD) to spend and my specs are as follows:

CPU: AMD A6 5400K @3.6 GHz (stock)

Cooler: Stock

Motherboard: HP stock w/ wifi 802.11n/b/g

RAM: Samsung 1x6gb @1333 MHz

GPU: NVIDIA gt620 1gb

HDD: Samsung 1TB 7200rpm

PSU: Noname 300w

Case: HP stock w/ 1 rear exhaust fan

That's pretty much it, I would like to know what you guys think I should upgrade, as I was going to go for:

GPU: Gigabyte r9 270x

Case: Fractal Design Core 1300 or 2300

PSU: Corsair CX430W

Which is bang on £200- anything you would change? Thanks!

You should bump up your CPU and GPU it will make a ton of difference. If you wanna keep the same motherboard go for the 6800k since it's a quad core at 4.0ghz so it will help (though not as much as a platform change)

The GPU the best you can afford, really almost anything is better than that GPU. 750ti or a 960 if your budget allows.

On the long run however, you really need a new PSU. Like, badly. And FM2 as a platform will never get you more than 4 weak cores which is significant since even an intel dual core will match and surpass even the best APU so you should be looking at 1150 instead.
