So I was doing some tweaking in my Asus hero z97 when I noticed something. I had purchased 4x 4gb crucial ballistx traces at 1600MHz, but on the right hand side under the CPU of settings it said the RAM was at 1300MHz so I turned it to 1600. Well this has caused some crashing in games, so is there anything else I need to do for the RAM or just downclock them?

my tracer ram seems to want to clock at 1333 instead of 1600 too, I had to set it correctly in the bios, but i havent had any issues with it.

We can't Benchmark like we used to, but we have our ways. One trick is to shove more GPUs in your computer. Like the time I needed to NV-Link, because I needed a higher HeavenBench score, so I did an SLI, which is what they called NV-Link back in the day. So, I decided to put two GPUs in my computer, which was the style at the time. Now, to add another GPU to your computer, costs a new PSU. Now in those days PSUs said OCZ on them, "Gimme 750W OCZs for an SLI" you'd say. Now where were we? Oh yeah, the important thing was that I had two GPUs in my rig, which was the style at the time! They didn't have RGB PSUs at the time, because of the war. The only thing you could get was those big green ones.

So all do is turn it to xmp, and make sure the RAM is at 1600?

XMP is the best setting the manufacturer warranties for the ram, so it will be the rated one. (in oyur case 1600)
