Giving something Bluetooth connectivity using usb

Hi guys. I think this is a good place to ask this.

 

I have a device that currently is controlled over usb. I'm wondering if there are any Bluetooth dongles that will allow me to plug the device into it and use Bluetooth to talk to it. The device has it's own power so all I need is a way to create a Bluetooth connection. Any ideas?

Some ASUS model. Has a GT 550M, i7-2630QM, 4GB or ram and a WD Black SSD/HDD drive. MacBook Pro 13" base model
Apple stuff from over the years
iPhone 5 64GB, iPad air 128GB, iPod Touch 32GB 3rd Gen and an iPod nano 4GB 3rd Gen. Both the touch and nano are working perfectly as far as I can tell :)

Well afaik the device or whatever needs to understand what the usb dongle says and vica versa. So unless you are sure it supports that, it won't work. It's like plugging it in into a playstation or a wii, it won't work.

No the device doesn't support Bluetooth so I was hoping there is a "hub" that lets you plug a usb cable into it and the "hub" would do the converting and stuff.

 

So from the devices perspective it's connected to a regular usb port.
