is i7 4790k quad core able to function with the G.Skill Z 4X8 2400 32 GB RAM? I'm told that the G.Skill ram exceeds the recommended voltage of the i7 4790k's CPU of 1.5. Is the i7 4930k only compatible with this RAM due to its six core structure or is my understanding wrong?

at certain speeds that depends on your motherboard i think if the motherboard doesnt support it then itll default back to i beleive 1333 dont quote me though.

It'll work, but by default, it'll run at some default speed(probably 1600 or 1333). You'll need to activate the XMP profile in the BIOS to make the RAM run at 2400MT/s.

Will I have to get a stronger liquid cooler as a result due to this activation of the XMP file?

current cooler: Corsair H100i GTX 70.7 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler

could this activation cause an increased probability of damage to CPU due to it being over the "recommended" voltage?
