Samsung 28" 4K LED 28D590D 1080p wird gray issue

Go to solution Solved by Jobbe03,

Well it's a native 4k display. Anything other than 4k will look horrible.

So even tho "why would i run the 4k monitor at 1080p" is probably going to be asked. i will just say that for game resolution testing reasons id like to be able to use 1080p and upscale to 4k with dsr etc.

But somehow, when i change game resolutions to under 1440p, the panel goes grey in color (not fully, just grey ish overlay over the image) and feels really smeared out. as for testing it on my old 24" BenQ the 1080p looks a lot smoother and sharper.

now i just want to know if anyone else has had the same problems or know why the display acts like this?
