Hello

I want to reinstall my laptop using the windows 8 feature (remove everything and reinstall windows)

but i have some questions

1) My Laptop is ASUS N56VZ which has preinstalled windows, and it seems the Serial is in BIOS or something ? because i cannot find it

2) Is reinstalling Windows using this feature needs the Serial Number? if so, is there a program that can tell me what my serial number is?

3) In the windows 8 feature, it has 2 options , erase it quickly or thoroughly , which one do i choose? if i choose quickly, can the virus recover?

4) I don't know what to do when i'm in the partition installation, i have a 1 TB HDD, i want to make it Local Disk C (OS) - 200 GB and the Local Disk D (Download etc) - 800 GB

5) If i dont want windows 8 bloatware, in custom installation, which one do i check or uncheck?

6) If i reinstall Windows, do i need to download all of the drivers again? if so, which one do i download?

Thanks for the help, and sorry for bad english :(

Are you using the included recovery options or you have an install DVD? I would recommend a dvd/usb install

1st have the drivers already downloaded on the usb drive, or at least the networking ones so you can download the rest..

If serial is in bios it should be retrieved automaticly by the activation service, do you have any sticker under the laptop with the serial?

Quick format should be ok, the other erases all the free space and takes a lot of time...

to have 2 partitions 1st you need to delete every partition you have and create the one you want to be C: by pressing the yellow "new" and change the size to 200000 MB, it will create recovery and system partitions, dont worry about them... and then create again a partition for the rest of the space.

It should not have bloatware but if it is the included recovery it will be back as it was when new (bloatware and all...)
