Hello, first of all, I'm sorry if I'm posting in the wrong place, or if there is recent thread answering this question that I might of missed.

Please tell me to move or delete the thread if I am.

Anyways, I need better info on how I should ground myself with the computer I plan on building on the upcoming week. Basically, I have two problems. The first problem I have is both my case and PSU are both completely painted over, so I have nowhere to plug my antistatic wristband.. Another problem is basically every room I can work on this has a carpet, is there a way around this (such as putting cardboard on the floor around the area my feet would be), or should I just bring all the parts to my friend's house and build it there?

Thanks for any help.

Generally, grounding isn't a huge issue as people just refuse to use it while building on carpet anyway.

I would just stick it to something metal and you should be fine.
