Posted April 1, 2015 So today this morning, I decided to turn on my desktop, since I wanted to play some games with friends. I usually use speakers when playing with friends, and I use my macbook to skype. My macbook was out of battery, so I had to plug it in the electrical outlet. However, the outlet gave a gigantic spark and fried the tip of my charger. My desktop computer turned off completely when this happened. Posted April 1, 2015 a pc should be on its own circuit...or one with very low power draw from other stuff Never plug a PC directly into a wall. You should always plug it into a surge protected power bar. It could have caused damage but if it powers on you should be fine. Just make sure you get a power bar.
