NEW PC: is it better?

just acquired a new PC with a gt 525m and an i5-2410m @2.3 ghz, will these out-game a gt 720m and i7-3632qm? Ik that the graphics card is a little bit better on the new computer, but is the processor sacrifice worth it?

525m better than 720m ? Not sure about that. I would have just kept the money until you can buy something better . The 2 laptops should be very similar in performance . And by performance i mean which one would suck less ( sorry ) .

I'm looking solely for gaming. ik they both suck, I got the 525 one free and the 720 one before I was tech savvy. I'm saving for build in sig, should be much better. so, solely for gaming, which is better? 525m and i5-2410m or 720m and i7-3632qm?

Well , they should be better than my 610m laptop ( gift from parents , wish they asked me before ) . If it has a 1366x768 monitor try and play games at 1024x768 with black bars on the side . I managed to make Borderlands 2 and CS:GO playable at that resolution . Also look for tweaks online for your games like editing .ini files to disable various lighting effects and such .

 

As in which is better , Your gpu is going to bottleneck your games waaay before your cpu will , so chose the one with the better gpu . ( probably the 720 , since nobody benchmarks those cards try and trust comparison websites http://gpuboss.com/gpus/GeForce-GT-720M-vs-GeForce-GT-525M )
