I'm kinda new to the world of PC building and I was hopping that someone could point me in the direction of a good build, I haven't been able to decide on any parts and have a limited budget of at most NZD$1500 (USD$1130). For this machine I want to do some entry gaming (Games I am likely to play https://steamcommunity.com/id/Monkey_Man61/games/)as well as some video editing and stuff like that, I would like to do some overclocking but if this isn't necessarily always an option when there isn't allot of room in the budget for the hardware to do so. If anyone could point me towards some components it would be greatly appreciated. (also I am new to the forums so if this isn't the place for this kind of post please tell me so I can fix that)

You've got a lot of extra money for the games you'll be playing. That could work on an $800 budget if you plan on 1080p.

$1000 is not a limited budget at all. In fact i would recommend spending about 650-750 if this is your first build. Its much smarted to save that money for later down the road for upgrades or just set aside. $650 is really the sweet spot for PC gaming. i would try a gtx 770 and an i5 4460 for your first build.

EVGA GTX 970 - i5 4460 - Enthoo Pro M

This build may only cost $1100 in the US but over here the same build would set me back $2000
