I am buying a H100i and i want to know your opinion of how to configure it.

I was planing of putting it on a pull configuration taking air out of the case. But on the manual that comes with the cooler it says to use it like a intake fan.

Now i am thinking of using it on a push-pull configuration as a outtake fan, but i don't really know if as push-pull it will fit on my case that is a "C70"...

Whats your opinion and what do you recommend?...

Push -> Exhaust top of the case with NF-F12s or similar performance fans if you can.

You can't do push/pull in a C70 without using low profile fans, or getting very lucky with a motherboard with a lot of clearance.

i cant, if i use it like that i will have to get the screw through the radiator mesh and that's impossible, the H100i radiator is make in a way so you put the screw through the case through the fan and into the radiator.

i can only run: push as intake, or pull as exhaust.

Well, Pull outtake will help you clean the rad, cause the dust will be much easier to clean. Make sure you do have positive air pressure in your case [more fans in than out] and see whether your h100 should be intake or exhaust. The difference between push and pull on such a thin rad is maybe 1-3°C so nothing to worry about, just check what works best for you.

i test push vs pull vs push-pull vs pull w/ a shroud.

push-pull yielded the most best performance but by far the most noise, push was also pretty noisy, pull was quieter and pull with a shroud was the quietest configuration i tested.

quietest to noisiest pull w/ shroud, pull, push, push-pull

when it comes to dust on a radiator any pull configuration picks up a lot less dust than any push or push-pull set up

best thermals push-pull, pull w/ shroud, and push and pull yielded the same performance

Run in pull, unless you like taking the fans off of the rad everytime you want to clean the dust out of the rad. Push pull does give better temps but if your using good pressure fans the difference in temps won't be very dramatic unless your running a very high overclock.

Linus did a video on this and said pull is the best.

Worth watching!
