How would I get rid of chip-outs/burrs? I recently drilled a "mesh" for a 80 and 120mm fan in my case, and there are some real nasty chipouts on the holes.

How would I get rid of chip-outs/burrs? I recently drilled a "mesh" for a 80 and 120mm fan in my case, and there are some real nasty chipouts on the holes. 

 

You can use a counter sink or deburr bit to just shave off the burrs from the holes, I do recommend however if you plan to do more drilling to use a Christmas tree bit or stepped drill bit it tends to have less burrs especially if you have a sacrificial piece of wood or material behind it.

What I usually do is take a drill bit a little larger than the hole and just twist it by hand until the burrs are gone. A small round file works well too.

Do the thing with the drill bit.

Use the next size up drill bit on a low speed or by hand to remove the blowout. In the future you can put a sacrificial block behind your material (press them together hard) to help prevent this from happening.
