Intel core i3 4160 when running prime95 it shuts down i checked and is standing alright.

that cpu should be fine with the stock cooler, try changing the thermal paste if the temps are too high

Ic diamond it is already on it i took it back and they said it is fine but other than that i can play BF 4 and i dont have higher that 65C only on prime95 i get this???

65c is totally normal temps for a stock cooler, dont worry

Don't use prime 95. It puts an entirely unrealistic load on the cpu for general use or even heavy use. Maybe another component in the system is overheating or maybe the chip just isn't getting enough power for whatever reason I'm not sure. Most people nowadays will say to stay away from relying on prime 95 for stress testing.

 

If it's just a media pc I assume the most intensive thing you'll be doing is light gaming, so try using something like unigine heaven/valley or fire strike for testing.
