Are you running a 32 bit (x86) operating system?

“When life gives you lemons, don’t make lemonade. Make life take the lemons back! Get mad! I don’t want your damn lemons, what the hell am I supposed to do with these? Demand to see life’s manager! Make life rue the day it thought it could give Cave Johnson lemons! Do you know who I am? I’m the man who’s gonna burn your house down! With the lemons! I’m gonna get my engineers to invent a combustible lemon that burns your house down!”

Check the BIOS to make sure you didn't screw something up with the RAM when overclocking. Also, try returning you CPU to stock speeds and see what happens

That's like really weird then, run everything @ stock clocks and see again. If it is still broken you might have some faulty memory.

Memtest is a wonderfull tool for checking faulty memory.

EDIT: Also try a live cd with ubuntu or so, it might be just a windows error. You never know with windows.

I hope u know what u say

Reseting your CMOS does not affect hardware. It only resets all of the settings on the Mobo

Another question, what is the thing on the bottom of your screenshot that is showing how much ram yu have?

But its not the cause of my problem.

Just check with another program. You have no proof that the program is not glitching

Can you try to actually use 4 GB of RAM and see what happens?

prime tops memory to 3.25

Intel® P35 chipset?

Got an asus P5k

Try taking out the ram and reinstlling it in single channel mode if you have multiple sticks

OK I was thinking perhaps you have a chipset with onboard graphics that was eating RAM.

I'm trying to remember the BIOS from my P5Q for memory related things... in the advanced section if you poke around is there something called memory remap or memory hole? Try enable that.

Did not did the trick..

Power down your system and unplug it from the cord. Then take out the battery of the motherboard and leave it out for 20sec. After that just put it back in and power your PC. This will do a hard reset on the BIOS and everything should be back to normal. In my experience this is the only thing that manages to clear out memory issues in the BIOS.
