Need some help guys

I recently bought an ssd for my system. When i got it i installed it and put windows on it. now my computer is super quick but whenever i boot the system a black screen comes up and then with white text comes up a message showing loading operating system and this takes about 40-50 seconds every time I boot. Does anyone know how to fix this and if so I would be very grateful.

Motherboard= Gigabyte Z68x-ud5-b3

SSD= samsung 830 256gb

Are you running the SSD in AHCI mode or IDE mode? Also, try changing your boot order may help however I can't understand why it'd take that long.

I'm running it in AHCI mode and when ever I try to get into the bios to change anything i just cant get in no matter how quick I am. How should i get into the bios to change the settings.

Try to reset your bios? Sounds like you've messed something up.

Unplug the SSD and plug in another boot device and see if the problem persists.

Try to clear CMOS, this resets all your BIOS settings back to default, you might of have click on something in your BIOS when you were changing settings. (you can clear the CMOS by using the jumper found on your motherboard, if you can't find the CMOS button you can remove the battery that stores your BIOS settings.) Hope this helps.

What is your boot priority? When you installed Windows on your SSD did you ensure your primary boot drive was the SSD and not another HDD?

changing your boot order may help you to over come the problem
