Computer Build

He used a R7 260X towards the end in benchmark comparison.

Oh yeah he did and I would like something that could run far cry 4 without being laggy because I am using a laptop right now and man does it lag on low in far cry 4

it doesnt need it

I'm pretty sure you need to update BIOS to OC, and if you fk up you are down a mother board.

Current Desktop Build | 2200G | RX 580 4GB | 8GB RAM | CTRL | Logitech G Pro Wireless

Laptop | 2018 MBA 256/16GB | MX Master

A R7260X maxes it at medium 1080p I think.

Pretty much any r7 260x will work, but I just like sapphire as a company. Choose any you would wish, whether that would be your own company preferences, or just price at the current time. Keep in mind if you do not have the money now, pricing may change in the future. (Lower maybe after R300 series?)

If he cant do a simple bios update he cant overclock... also the board might not even be outdated yet

G3258 @ 4.5 | 8GB Team Vulcan RAM | 128GB Kingston V300 SSD (I didn't know what I was doing when I bought it) | MSI H81I Motherboard | Corsair H55 with Noctua NF-P12 | EVGA SSC GTX 960 4GB | OCZ 550W Fully Modular PSU with Noctua NF-A14 | Cooler Master Elite 130 (Soon to be something cool)

Plus I would like to see if there is a step by step video of assembling that beast because this is my first time building a pc

there are plenty of videos on the YouTube that show you how to assemble a computer they may not be your exact components but it is the same general concept i know Linus has more then one video on the topic a few others that do i know Austin has one, Neweggs YouTube channel has a whole series of videos, and jayztwocetz may have one but i did not check his would be all water cooling builds except the one his daughter and him built, but its still the same concept except minus the tubs, water blocks, fittings, pumps, and coolant.

Welcome to the forum!

good luck on the build!

Have fun and enjoy it!

Would that work with a boson build?

I have never looked into boson builds much, so I do not know. Maybe someone else in the forums can answer that.

RIG: CPU: i5 6600k @4.8GHz 1.34v  CPU Cooler: H100i  Motherboard: Asus Z170-AR  RAM: Corsair Vengence LPX 2400 (2x8GB)

HDD: Seagate Baracuda 2TB  SSD: Samsung 850 Evo 500GB/PNY 240GB  GPU: Gigabyte G1 Gaming GTX 970  PSU: EVGA G2 650W

Please use PcPartPicker, and paste the "BB" code when posting your build!
