Need help picking a power supply

Hey guys,

I'm currently building my first PC and am in need of a little help with what power supply will be best for me.

I have use the calculaor on the Cooler Master website but I'm not sure It's accurate because it says I need around 300W total but when I was reading the info on the graphics card I will be buying it says it needs 400W alone.

I've already bought a few things but getting the rest after pay day with the power supply being the last item I buy.

 

Spec will be,

Motherboard: Asus H97i*

Proccesor: Intel i5 4690

Graphics Card: Gigabyte GTX 750ti

1x 250Gb SSD

1x 2Tb HHD*

1x Bluray reader with DVD writer*

(*Already purchased)

The PSU I've been looking at in the Corsair CS750M Semi-Modular.
So my question is will this be suitable for my needs as I don't want to over do it.

To my knowledge, the Corsair CS750M should work fine with your setup. But this is just offhand. I recommend heading over to http://www.extreme.outervision.com/psucalculatorlite.jspto input all of your components and it will give you an estimate about which PSU to use. You might want to go a little over if you plan on upgrading.

You won't need more than a 500w psu, something high quality from Antec, Seasonic, EVGA, Corsair etc should work perfectly. I recommend getting one of these:

You definitely don't need a 750W. With a good PSU even half that will be more then enough. Get an XFX ProSeries 550W, and put the money you save towards a better GPU. Consider an R9 270.

The reason for my graphics card choice is I wanted Nvidia and something with two HDMI ports to run my dual monitor setup.

550-650w PSU will be fine. I'd highly recommend going with a quality OEM manufacturer like Seasonic. Many PSU's are manufactured by other OEMS. See attached for a good list.
