PC Case Query

Hello,

 

I have been looking into purchasing a new PC case. I have my current rig in an Antec Solo II (details below) but am looking to upgrade to a water cooled system within the next few months.

 

I have been looking into the Be Quiet Silent Base 800 and NZXT Phantom range as they both offer the aesthetics, features and are around the £80-£100 price mark.

 

Any recommendation, information or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

 

 

Current setup 

 

AMD FX-8350 4.0 GHz

Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO

8GB Corsair XMS3 1600MHz 

Sapphire AMD R9 290 TRI-X OC 4GB  Corsair RM 750W 80 Plus Gold

Asus M5A97 LE R2.0

2x Cougar Vortex PWM 120mm and 1x Antec case rear 120mm

San disk 120GB SSD bootdrive

WD 1TB Caviar Blue HDD general storage

What kind of wc'ing did you have in mind?

They're pretty out of date and would be worse than an updated Phantom or the Silent Base 800.

What kind of wc'ing did you have in mind? 

 

My intention is to start by just cooling the CPU with liquid however I do want the option to expand to the GPU soon after. My initial thought was to buy a H100i however I think one of the EK Kits or XSPC Rasa kits would be a better option for future expansion.

Sorry for the late reply--been a bit busy lately. 

There are many mid towers that fit that criteria just fine. If you're already considering the Silent Base 800, I'd say to go with it as it comes with excellent fans out of the box.
