$1800 1080p Gaming Build

CNGaming38

Budget and Location:

As the title states, I have a budget of $1800 Canadian, and live in Canada

Aim:

Once again as the title states, I'm looking to create a 1080p gaming build, and I may do some very light video editing/rendering. The games I'll be playing include:

-Skyrim

-Fallout 3 + New Vegas

-Arma 3 (Albeit likely not at ultra)

-Nature Survival Games (The Long Dark, ect.)

-And most sandbox building games (Minecraft, Space Engineers, Cities: Skylines)

Monitors:

I just need a single 1080p monitor, although I may upgrade to a second monitor later.

Peripherals:

I do need all peripherals, so headphones, a mouse, and a mechanical keyboard (Preferably Cherry MX Blues)

Why am I upgrading?

I am upgrading because up until this point my entire computer life has been a shitter Dell laptop from like 2001. It serves it's purpose as a browsing device, but I can barely play minecraft with a normal render distance, which just puts into perspective just how little i've been able to explore the world of PC Gaming.

I made one that's cheaper, and for my purposes, much better.

Well up to you!

But i can tell you im getting you the top end products (EVGA G2 PSU)

and the most bang for the buck GPU (r9 290x)

With a sick keyboard and the BEST mouse in the market

The monitor you've chose is wayyyyy too expensive too

Just my twocents. Follow my build for the best bang for the buck.

Trust me i have been in this forum for a long time and i know my stuffs

IMO 1800 for 1080p is a bit much, you could probably get this done for 1600.

The M45 is usually on sale refurbish on NCIX for 40 bucks so I'd wait.

Azio keyboard is great!

Personally I'd look for a graphics card on kijiji, never had a problem and you can get them really cheap ( 230 for an r9 280x)

IDK much on monitors so I just took one that you put!

This is what I'd do. Under budget and all good parts. Of course you can change some parts... You can SLI later if you want and this can overclock. Adding some case fans might be necessary once you build it.

Don't get me wrong, I appreciate your input, but I can tell you that the Rosewill Capstone is really the superior PSU, as it has Super Flower as it's OEM, which has been proven to be one of, if not the most reliable OEM, and as much as i'd like to take your word on the mouse, it just doesn't appeal to me aesthetically, it looks far too gamer oriented, and I prefer a more conservative look to my products

Ah but the PSU i recommended has seasonic as the OEM! (which in my opinion should be better than superflower)

Ah i understand :)
