Gtx 980 g1 sli problem!

Hey guys,

 

this is my system

 

i74770k

corsair h100i

msi z87 mpower max

gskill 16gb 

intel 250gb ssd

2 tb hdd x 2

gigabyte gtx 980 g1

CM v850 psu

 

i recently added another g1 980.

 

sli is working but during gaming my screen freezes. tried with different games n it still happened.

 

wats causing the freezing?

Are you overclocking any of the hardware and are you using the latest drivers?

Had the same issue with my gtx 680s, try to wiggle the sli cable or even turn it around and see if that helps.

played shadow of mordor not freezing. but freezing on far cry 4 and battlefield hardline

no man. not overclocking anything. got my 2nd card..fixed it..enabled sli n started playing. all drivers updated. using evga sli 2 way bridge

Had the same issue with my gtx 680s, try to wiggle the sli cable or even turn it around and see if that helps.

im using the evga 2 way sli bridge.

Have you tried those cards indivitually maybe one is broken, or try with the sli bridge that came with your motherboard.

yes the 2nd card is broken. ran it individually and found the problem. have to rma the card :(
