I just put my new graphics card into my new pc and it won't boot i have tried putting my other graphics card in and it's fine

no beep codes either

 

SPECS:

GPU (new): GTX 960 EVGA SSC 4GB

CPU: Phenom II X4 965 BE

RAM 6gb ddr2

Mobo: ASUS M3A78-EM

PSU:850W

 

Please help

Make sure the connections are good (it might need more power input pins than your old GPU). Does it do anything at all? Like fans whir and lights turn on then turn off or is there just nothing at all?

Are you sure that's the correct motherboard model? Have you used that PCI 2.0 slot before? Is there another machine to test this GPU in?

Try resetting your mobo. It might be trying to find your old GPU instead of using the one you installed.

I had trouble uninstalling Catalyst control center

it says it is uninstalled but it is still there

It should say in your motherboard manual if you still have it. Basically just use a screwdriver to connect 2 pins that stick out from it to complete a circuit and resets the bios settings to factory.

It's completely in the realm of possibility that the 960 is just borked. Call up who you bought it from when their business hours are open and tell them what you've done to try to remedy it so far. See if they have any more advice, otherwise you'll probably have to RMA it. I can't think of anything else.

See if they have any more advice, otherwise you'll probably have to RMA it. I can't think of anything else.

Just uninstall both drivers to make sure nothing is interfering with it to be safe.

i tried but it is still there

catalyst should come with your gpu cd driver

or 

try to get it online if u can
