How many watts?

Go to solution Solved by iPhoenix,

Hello all.

I am looking to upgrade my gpu to gtx 970 aswell as my psu, as it is quite old now. I ran my specs through the eXtreme power supply calcualtor and it came back with a peak wattage of 373w.

So would I be ok getting a 650w or sould I go to 750?

Be honest with yourself.  Are you going to SLI later? If so , then go with a 750 if not then go with 500.. more than enough even as the PSU ages and becomes less efficient.

A decent 650w is already plenty for sli. A single card would have no issue on a 500w.
